Rick and
Kathy Walden are both natives of Indiana in the United
States. They met at church and were married in December
of 1974. Rick is a construction millwright and Kathy is
a registered nurse. Rick and Kathy along with their
children, Diane, Eric, Samuel and Aimee have served as
missionaries to Thailand through the Jesus' Open Arms
Mission since 1989. The first year of their term was
spent in Bangkok studying the Thai language. They moved
north to the province of Nan in 1991 to begin working
alongside Dr. David and Mrs. Deloris Filbeck among the Tin/Lua tribes. They are now located in the city
of Chiang Mai and continue to work among the Lua people and are also
involved in a camp ministry. Kathy is also the Child Health Care
Coordinator for the Agape Home Orphanage for HIV+ Infants and Children. |
