In 1989 the Waldens began working alongside Dr. David and Mrs. Deloris
Filbeck in the work the Filbecks had established among the Tin (also
called Lua) people along the Thai/Laotian border. Since that time the
number of villages they are working in has grown to 7 with over 500 people
who have now come to the Lord. Rick's focus for this ministry is to train
and disciple the young men and women who are preachers and teachers for
these villages. Church planting and evangelism are also areas that Rick is
working in. He has used his construction abilities to build several
structures in the villages including a children's hostel, a home for a
paraplegic woman and several church buildings. |
